Take 1/4 cup warm water and add sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and place it in a warm place for few minutes until frothy.
Mix salt and butter in the flour and knead adding the frothy yeast water and milk as needed.
Place the dough in a greased bowl to rise.
Take the risen dough and flatten it or roll it .
Place it in a greased baking tray.
Spread the Gajar ka halwa evenly.
Sprinkle the mawa on top.
Garnish with sliced dates.
Bake it in a pre-heated oven at 250 C for 22 to 25 minutes until done.
Serve warm or chilled .
